Because then when he flips to the red eyes it hits different. He goes from friendly to intimidating so fast.

2024-09-28 04:42:57 +0000 UTCI'm not very knowledge when it comes to Japanese honorifics, but I can try to explain why Lisanna refers to Mirajane as "Mira-nee" instead of just calling her by name. Long story short, it's considered rude in Japan for younger siblings to call their older siblings by name, so they have to add honorifics. Elfman refers to Mira as "Nee-chan," for example, while Lisanna refers to Elfman as "Elf-nii." It seems like Lisanna just gets creative with the honorifics. "Mira" comes from Mirajane, while "-nee" comes from nee-san, nee-chan, and onee-san (all of which mean "Big Sister").

2024-09-26 10:53:47 +0000 UTCJust a note the strauss siblings(mirajane,Lisanna, and elfman) can only transform into creatures/animals they have attempted to “take over” and gain control from. It’s not a random thing where they can just pick a different creature and transform into it without touching it or anything. They cover their power more later in the show. Lisanna is the only one who uses animals, Mira is demons, elfman mostly does beast.

He may be the Legendary Black Wizard but in this state of his, he's no match for her- you'll understand more of what this means later. That being said, Ultear herself is extremely powerful, due to not only her standing as the leader of the Seven Kin ー the main offensive force of Grimoire Heart, the strongest Dark Guild ー but also the nature of her magic. Time manipulation is OP. Like Hades said, all of the Seven Kin have been personally trained by him and hence use Lost Magic, which is extremely powerful... Arc of Time (Ultear's magic), God Slaying (Zancrow's magic), Arc of Embodiment (Rustyrose's magic and my personal favourite)... they're all really powerful. Oh my goodness I'm so hyped for you two to watch the rest of the arc and see the remaining fights against Grimoire Heart!!! Genuinely, there's so much peak left, Fairies vs Devils 🔥
