A minor setback...

Hey everyone! Golly, things have been... what's the right word? Unbelievable? Intense? Totes cray cray? So, I got the "ok" from my doc to take a little roadtrip out to see my wonderful and amazing Mom. About an hour from her place, I experienced the worst pain I have ever felt coming from my lower back. Long story short, I made it to her house and was able to get the pain under control. The bad news is that I can't really sit down. Driving right now is pretty much out of the question and getting back home to see my doctor is gonna take a minute. The good news is that all the mountain passes are closed anyway, due to snow, and I can lay down with no problems at all! I have my laptop with me, I'm snowed in with my Mom, and I have a great opportunity here to get some music made.
I'd like to wish you all the most happiest of holidays and a happy new year!! I'd also like to say thank you. I realize that I'm not the best at posting musical progress, and my sporadic nature is probably pretty frustrating for some. I'm simply awful at keeping up with social media and my marketing skills are downright embarrassing. But regardless of those short comings, you all have continued to show me support... I am so thankful and appreciative of that. I can't begin to tell you how much this means to me. I'm always hesitant to voice my plans or commit to schedules. I have long been suspicious of my treasonous brain because it always seems to rebel against me. (or any authoritarian attitude) I grow weary of my own long winded explanations or attempts to defend missed deadlines. All I can do is try to learn from my mistakes and transform them into opportunities. The world can be brutal sometimes but not nearly as brutal as we can be towards ourselves.
So, with all of that said, I would like to express my gratitude to all of you. I hope that you can all surround yourselves with the people that love and support you the most. Try to lift up those that need help and celebrate every accomplishment. Smile like a maniac at the creeping darkness, for it picked a fight with the wrong person. (LOL, this is the part of the movie where we gear up and charge towards the madness).
