A Little Snag

Ch25 New Release Date: January 18,  ̷2̷0̷2̷5̷  2024

Please excuse me; I have been trying, but I have been sick since the 7th. Most of the symptoms have dissipated by now; the only ones left are the cough and a bit of phlegm. Back then, my whole body was heavy; I had a bad cough; my throat intensely hurt when eating; and there was a ton of phlegm, eew. Oddly enough, I didn't catch a fever, not even a little. The cough is still quite bad, but the throat soreness has completely dissipated just this morning, and this one got in the way of eating, so I'm very grateful that it's gone. I'd be glad to provide photos as evidence, of phlegm.

About this chapter, I was hoping to write this on the release post, but right now it's better to hype it up instead. I wrote my heart out on this one; more so than usual, there may have been literal tears involved in the making of this chapter. *Points to EO* As some of you may have read in our Discord Server, I know the rule is to undersell, but I love this one; it closes book 2 and starts book 3 perfectly. It might go down as my favorite Book 2 chapter along with 18 and 21, even if I have to disregard the recency bias. I advise playing from chapter 22 or at least doing a partial run, but of course, it holds even without doing so.

Chapter 25 is a longggg chapter, the longest to date; it's also quite difficult to make, and that factor adds to the amount of time I need. I've hit page 80 on scripting in 11 Calibri font, and that's only the dialogue. All the while, a good chunk of this chapter is "show, don't tell.". Please excuse us for missing the initial deadline. I want to do right by this chapter; it's the finale, and it's the least it deserves.

I initially wanted to make a poll regarding the title, but it would invalidate what I just said, and I also now have a title for it "The Choices We Have to Make." It's perfect. The other working titles were Beyond Blood and Full Speed Ahead.
