In a rare interview with XXL published Tuesday (April 12), Playboy Carti credited Tech N9ne as a pioneer of his gothic rockstar movement. “Tech N9ne, he’s the pioneer of what I got going on right now,” the Atlanta native explained. “When it comes to having a cult following, embracing yourself and sticking to your vision, Tech N9ne is the pioneer of that. Plenty of hip hop classics on there with amazing production and some great concept songs that youd love. The most impressive part of all is that he doesnt write any lyrics! Everything he raps is off the top of his head. Great video Merc
