600 Patreons! Thank you all!

We have reached 600 patreons and it's time to discover what we had planned.

Even listening to your requests, it is very difficult to please everyone in each release, almost impossible. So for the 600 Patreons we are going to try to please one of you as much as we can :)

The idea is simple, if you've ever said... I wish this miniature existed... it's your time!

We are going to make an auction to celebrate the 600 Patreons, the winner will be able to design with us his dream character, supervise the creation process and once modeled in 3D we will print it, the miniature will be painted by Roi (A professional painter) and we will send the winner the physical miniature at home!

We are very excited to work with one of you and we are sure it will be a lot of fun.

Rules:

The rules to participate in the auction are simple, you have to be registered at www.stlminiatures.com (it's free) and of course be Patreon :)

The auction starts at 1€ and has no minimum price for us to do it, even if it raises 2€ in the end, we will do it anyway :). Our idea is to celebrate 600 Patreons with this!

The auction ends on February 11th, that's more than enough time to participate.

The same terms and conditions as on Patreon will apply. (do not sell the final stl, do not distribute the final stl.... you know what it is about)

The final character may be published in a future release on Patreon or it will be added to the welcome pack.

This is the link to participate in the auction:

Now, let us know what you think! We are very excited to do it, but we are not sure what you think about the idea.

600 Patreons! Thank you all!

I agree with previous comments. I think a small reward for everybody is better than a big reward for just somebody with the financial capacity to stand over the others. I am not keen to participate in skewed competitions so I am out

I’m also not keen to celebrate this amazing milestone for you by spending even more money. Maybe a poll to see what gets made then you can still have it printed and pro painted and have a drawing for the finished piece...everyone else just gets the files...

Congrats on 600! Can't really afford to bid for the prize, so good luck to who ever gets it.

Jimmy Trinket

Agreed, bad idea

ResinandFilament

Great models and congrats on hitting 600. However, I would have to agree with previous comments- the 'auction' isn't a reward for your patreons but rather simply a commissioned piece- ie. 599 of your patrons will get nothing, and the one that does will most certainly pay for it... I wont be participating, but that wont affect my patronage as I love the models.

Since you ask what we think of it: While there is nothing wrong with this style of auction I feel your statement that you would do it even if you only make 2 Euros shows you are looking for a way to "give back" to your Patrons. I think an auction (which is essentially going to be you taking a commission from one person) is skewed heavily to people who are far better off financially. Someone like me who currently has 25 subscriptions and can easily bid "what its worth." It leaves out those who, out of all the Patreon options, might only have your Patreon because they picked YOU and thats all they can afford. i think it would be neat if it was skewed toward them or, at least even odds, like a free raffle or something. That said, this is awesome and someone is going to be very happy!

I agree with Rob I would have expected a poll also with the STL file being made available to all Patrons. Congratulations on reaching 600 though.

Congrats on reaching 600! So if I'm understanding your contest rules....I need to bid an amount, and if I have the highest bid (spend the most money) I get to work with your team to create the mini and receive the printed and painted mini. Is that right? If so...it sounds like a commission piece and I'm not interested. I suppose others might be, but just wanted to give my feedback. I was first expecting a poll of some sort, but I don't think that's what you're describing.

Congrats and well earned!
