⚔️📜 Twin Paths to Glory

With the next mini update, I’ll be uploading an additional save slot specifically designed for scenario-based gameplay. This scenario save mirrors the current main save, but with one main difference: most Sims have been aged down by one life stage, simulating the past.

The scenario, Twin Paths to Glory, follows two protagonists: Seo Hyeon and Baek Gyeom. It will be externally formatted in a digestible, easy-to-follow way in a separate post, as I cannot directly mod the game. However, I’ve taken steps to ensure the experience remains fully playable and immersive. All Sims are pre-built, with the protagonists being fully customised (with preferences), and necessary lots are included.

For example, you can kill people with swords, practise martial arts, and you can physically write books without a computer. Later on in their journeys, Hyeon and Gyeom “level up” and gain new roles - to maintain immersion and avoid CAS, certain uniforms required for these roles are now sold exclusively at retail lots accessible only to Sims in the appropriate clubs/careers. They also grow facial hair... and you should let them! Furthermore, as the Sims begin life as teenagers, a school has been added that will aid players when completing missions. 

Think of the main save as a sandbox, where you can do whatever you like. The scenario save, on the other hand, is more guided and streamlined, offering a clear, story-driven path to follow. The canon outcomes of the protagonists, and future protagonists, will be revealed in the main save.

🧭 The Two Journeys

There are two distinct paths:

• Scholar Path
• Warrior Path (includes further division: RIghteous & Mercenary)

Both journeys consist of 4 stages. You may choose to follow one Sim through a solo path or guide both simultaneously in dual play.

The journeys come with missions, and each of the four stages has 6-9 missions. You must complete all missions within a stage to progress onto the next: you will either be too poor or too unskilled otherwise. Additionally, there are also side quests - these are optional, and mainly progress relationships and develop the storyline emotionally. For example, making friends and pursuing romance... with other Sims, or perhaps each other.

The scenario is structured to intertwine aspirations, careers, skills, and story. Without deviation, your Sims will grow swiftly and experience full, rewarding lives. However, with ageing set to normal (or short, for a challenge), there’s a real possibility your Sim might pass away before completing the journey; it is impossible to reach a Story Ending as a Teen or Young Adult - success depends entirely on your strategic skill.

If played well, Hyeon and Gyeom will emerge as influential figures, well-respected and deeply connected in the kingdom.
