The process was quite frankly a huge pain in the ass, lots of things broke and had to be fixed painstakingly which was frustrating, and it ended taking longer to fix this 'model swap' animation than it actually took to animate the original last week. I'll need to look into different ways of doing this for future projects, but I still want to try to and make this a bit of a standard for shorter animations where possible going forward to give you all more content :D
