Burnice's Special Drink (5:07) is a story about the legendary mixologist Burnice in Son of Calydon teasing her new tsundere mercenary teammate, Pulchra.

Some of my thoughts about this project for anyone who's interested:

• The Story

What do you think futa thiren cum would taste like? We’ve never known. But since lots of reproductive stuff tastes good: like roe, eggs, crab sperm, it's POSSIBLE that it tastes good too! 😋

I had a different ending in mind where Burnice would kindly ask Pulchra for some milk to serve their customers. But I decided to go with the current ending instead because it made a stronger impression, even if it makes Burnice look kinda evil.😂

As a gooner who loves doujishi. I always wish I could make an animation that makes you feel all sorts of emotions and get into the story. Do you like “Burnice’s Special Drink”?

• Project scope

What started as a 3-minute animation that I aimed to complete in 3 months ended up turning into a 5-minute piece that took 7 months. Because I realized it doesn’t give me enough time to fully convey my ideas.

Scenes that weren't in the original plans are: The missionary scene, pulchra milking scene and two additional background characters. I add them for visual variety, humor, and help establish that they live in Blazewood.

The hardest and most time-consuming part is that I'm using tons of different shots (48 in total) to tell a story. Each shot needs its own setup, and it took me a few days to get each one done.

I was wondering whether I should use fewer shots to tell everything or stretch out the scenes to make the setup time more worthwhile. But I decided not to do either. I really want to give you the best animation I can, with carefully chosen camera angles and the right pacing for each shot. It might take more time, but I hope you'll be patient with me. This is the mindset I plan to carry forward for future projects too.

I’m sorry I didn’t stick to what I promised.😞 I'll be sure to avoid making too many assumptions from now on.

• Scene reference

  I love recreating funny things I've seen before in my own style. How many of them did you notice?

  1. There were some old prank TV shows that used breast milk instead of coffee milk to freak people out. It’s one of the scenes I’ve always wanted to do.

  2. The way of Pulchra drinking was inspired by Puss in Boots (2011). That’s how a cat should drink, right?

  3. Woody “Let him cook” but with Caesar and Lucy

  4. The faulty jukebox twist is from one of my favourite game intro: Devil May Cry 3. There's a jukebox on the truck, and I can't pass up this chance.

• Sound design

  I’m paying more attention to background music than I used to. For each shot, I pick the best-fitting part of the music from the ZZZ game itself, then cut and edit it to match the shot. Except for the cowgirl scene, which was a different approach, I based the scene around the music instead. If you find the music distracting, feel free to switch the audio to 🚫🎵No Music.

  I'm working with a sound editor (Squish) this time, and she's the voice for both characters too! You could hear her voice acting in the WIPs. She's definitely better at this than I am and helps me save a lot of time. I think I’ll be collaborating with her or other sound editors more often in the future.

• What next?

I will render an alternative nipples & clitoris piercings version of this animation. Piercings have always been one of my favorite kinks. Unfortunately I wasn't able to include them for Firefly due to some technical issues, but this time I won't be holding back! 🥵

Then I’ll be planning what I should do for my next animation.
