I researched "when do white horses turn white" extensively, lol. Because they're obviously born dark, which gave me the opportunity to fine-tune my new "texture galore" brush set and do some gorgeous dapples. You may notice that the effect here looks a little like the pieces I did earlier this year with my painted and scanned textures - I managed to build brushes from them, so this is now all achieved with brushes, no textures inserted! 😃

I'll polish up this new set and do a video before I release it, but I'm really, really happy with these brushes. They fix a problem that I've always had with the way I work, which relies heavily on my pretty smudging brushes, and thereby destroys the pretty textures of my brushes - now I can bring them back! I had a brush like that in the first set I made, but now I made different "texture repair" brushes with lightening as well as darkening properties! =D This is some of them (I've already made more, of course…)
