The incredible finale of the first campaign of Critical Role. The Raven Queen comes to take Vax. I bawled my eyes out during that episode (in other words, bawled my eyes out watching eight people around a table bawling their eyes out). Role-playing life goals.
Also had a great game night today introducing our neighbour to D&D! Heโd asked for an introduction after watching "Stranger Things" and we finally got round to it, and so his Dragonborn Paladin today met my daughter's Elven Druid and my husbandโsโฆ Goblin Artificer. ๐ We had a great time and probably have him hooked. =D

After I discovered CR, I started binge watching in the week leading up to the finale and read as much as I could about the different arcs. I knew what would most likely happen to Vax - a gif set about the "you were saving wish for me"-moment was what got me into it after all - and I thought I would be prepared. I was not. Watched the first repeat on Twitch and went through a whole tissue box.

2022-02-21 18:57:43 +0000 UTCYes, I keep falling for his characters - I'm only a few episodes into the Mighty Nein (which I plan to watch fully) and his Caleb is almost painful to watch. (As well as hilarious if you're German. His accent is so damn convincing!)

2022-02-20 07:34:39 +0000 UTCMan, that finale just destroyed me. Liam OโBrian is the king of having characters burrow themselves into my heart and then ripping it to shreds in the most wonderful way. Such a beautiful actor and such wonderful characters. All of them, to be fair, but Liamโs ability to craft drama is bittersweetly glorious.
