Dungeons and Dormice: The Sorcerer

Dormouse Sorcerers, like every other Sorcerer, trace their lineage back to semi-mythical sources that account for their native magical powers. Among the Big Folk, dragon, demon and tiefling ancestry is quite common; Dormouse Sorcerers are adamant that their magical powers stem from an ancient fairy link. They highlight this belief by their choice of garment and even behaviour.

Dormouse Sorcery is overwhelmingly benign (sometimes plain overwhelming) and always good-natured (unless by accident). Dormouse sorcerers are among the most easy beings to get along with, but for the love of all that is holy, don’t mention the horns.

Another week of remote-teaching down! O_o As I feared, there has been very little time for dormice; it was mainly trying to stay on top of the emails.

I've got a few quick drawing ideas for Tolkien characters, too, so when I have all eleven character classes (just the druid to go), expect a bit of Middle-earth, too. :) I also plan to do a few dormouse pencil sketches, and think about a booklet or some such of my Dungeons&Dormice. I'll give myself a loooot of time for that though. :)

I really do think a calendar or date book of these mice would be adorable.

Grace Grebel

Gosh I love all these little mice!!! They're adorable

Davina

I know it’s a new class, but I’m curious about a mouse artificer! And as everyone else has already said... CONGRATULATIONS! <3

Gwendolyn

I think of her as a she, yes - but really, literally all of my mice could be any gender. :) I think of the Rogue, Ranger, Monk, and Sorcerer as female. We'll pretty soon be back to actual in-school teaching PLUS online classes, I'm afraid. :( I have no idea how this will all work, especially with cloning being such a legal hassle...

Jenny Dolfen

Thank you! ^__^

Jenny Dolfen

Thanks, Pauline!!

Jenny Dolfen

Yay, thank you! ^^

Jenny Dolfen

Pretty sorceress! It is a she, right? Good thing I read your warning about the little horns... I was about to ask... ^^' Well, I've found teaching online is FAR HARDER than doing it the normal way. I'm grateful we're back to home office after half a week, but everything is more time consuming... checking homework, doing online tests, planning things. But it is better than being afraid when going out every day. Please stay safe, everyone.

Laura Michel

What a lovely little Friday surprise! Looking forward to the druid, and the Tolkien stuff - but take care, my experience so far is online work is harder than the classic version!

Liv Klein

Wow, that robe is fantastic. I thought of dragonfly wings before I read your explanatory text, and that wasn't far off! Sorry to hear that you were inundated with work e-mails. Hope the next week will be calmer. Seconding what the others said - congrats on the Tolkien Society Award! Another well-deserved win.

Lyra

I still love those lovely dormice, and I'm looking forward to seeing where in Middle-earth you'll take us next time! I hope you're doing well and \o/ CONGRATS for the Tolkien Society Award !

Litsen

Love the mouse, robe, staff, necklace. Not mentioning anything else. Except: CONGRATULATIONS on winning the Best Artwork Award from the Tolkien Society for 2020, for "The Professor"!!! Well deserved. 😁

Bonnie Marques

I think I am just a bit in love with the Dormice ...

Troels Forchhammer

Durn. Whatever she's been smoking must be awfully good.
