Added 2019-03-02 16:15:49 +0000 UTCOkay, the combination of "can't draw on it" plus "can't paint on it" is pretty much a death blow. I can't do thin brushstrokes on this paper, so ended up doing detail work and lineart in fineliner, and leaving the Easterlings blank - the paint clogs up and loses all translucency, which would have turned the whole piece into a muddy mess if I'd coloured them too.
Ah well. Lesson learned.
