Flea market frame haul!
Added 2018-07-08 16:31:41 +0000 UTCI went to the local flea market today and managed to procure a fine haul of vintage frames! It's incredibly expensive to buy some on eBay; on flea markets, however, people just want them off their hands and practically give them away. The handsome two on the left were 7€ each! The one in the centre seems to be a hand-done copper etching print from a 17th century original. I got it in order to put some watercolour ground on it, but I really wonder if I should!
The others will certainly be furnished with my own paintings, apart from the butterfly one on the right, which seems to be an original. I got it for one Euro. Please, if you own an original piece from me, put a little notice on the back that says, "Never sell me on the flea market for a single coin!" XD

2018-07-09 03:35:25 +0000 UTCSo true! I'm fairly sure the signature of my piece reads "Klinger", but there's no artist called that whose style fits these very consistent pieces.

2018-07-08 19:47:47 +0000 UTCI ended up cheaply getting what appears to be an original watercolor at a yard sale once. Hard to interpret the signature and I was unable to find any information on the artist but it is a nice painting and I'm glad to have it. (it's a stylized realism landscape) Sometimes I wonder what the story is behind people not realizing the worth of things like that that they have.
