Suggestion box March

I know I didn't get done as much in February as I did in January; and I already have to caution that March may end up even worse - even if it weren't for the eye business, I have more exams coming up, and I'll be away on a school trip for eight days in two weeks. But it's the holidays after that, so with some luck, I'll get some stuff done!

Preferred suggestions: Stuff that might work in the style of the koi/Mica Dragons I did! (And a few more Mica Dragons, anyway.) Any thoughts?

Koi or goldfish, or even dragons would work for mica work, I think! Good luck with the eyes!

Dragons and fishies with shining scales. I was thinking about the little Mexican dragon-like creature called the Axolotl. Not a fish or a lizard but a salamander type animal that is regarded magical because it can regenerate lost limbs and stays young during its whole lifetime. Besides it's so cute! Critically endangered as well, due to loss of their habitat. :( They come in many colors and I think some shine accents would be so pretty.

I've only read one of her books (can't remember the title...) and don't really remember anything much :) Small lizwardy dragon sounds good though!

Not a specific suggestion, but a general one: the retouching you do on some prints, with gold leaf and gold paint? That style would lend itself wonderfully to the mica/pearl paints -- like a retouched Smaug with red and yellow mica highlights? And a careful touch of the deep blue to really accentuate the gleam in blue-black hair ...

"Blade" McMicking, D.I.

I've always loved the little fire lizards (more like mini-dragons) in Anne McCaffrey's "Dragonriders of Pern" book series. Don't know whether you're familiar with the "Harper Hall Trilogy" when we first learn about them? (And though this isn't what you're wanting right now, I'd love to see some art inspired by the "Star Wars: Rogue One" movie.)

I didn't know the one - and the Wikipedia synopsis leaves me a bit baffled, though it reminded me of the story of Polykrates!

The fish swallowing the ring from the fairy tale "The Fish and the Ring". I could suggest a number of other fairy tales with fish, but most would require something large and non-scaly in the scene, like Grimms' "The Little Lamb and the Little Fish" or the Chinese Cinderella variant where the heroine's helped by a fish.

I love the aging idea so much that I'm actually worried about stealling other people's cool ideas now! XD

How about a series of dragons, all the same color, progressively aging? Egg, hatching, wyrmling, juvenile, adult, ancient. Or a constellation dragon?

I don't know if this is too complicated but a mermaid would be lovely
