Inktober #1: "Gallifrey stands"

That #1 up there scares me. It says, "Do another 30!" XD

I'll do my best. I was afraid of even announcing I'd participate in Inktober, but here we are. I had a rotten week, being sick, then going to a theme park with my English course yesterday in the pouring rain, and today I spent eight hours for the Latin curriculum of my school.

At half past nine, I thought, aw, screw Inktober.

And then I thought, if you manage to do an ink piece now, after not drawing for weeks or months, in a medium you just can't do, after this sort of day - you'll never have an excuse again and you might just as well do Inktober.

So here we are! The War Doctor, for no other reason than we just watched "The Day of the Doctor" with the kids this evening and he just tickled me visually. Ah the truly immortal John Hurt.

Acrylic ink, pen nib and brush on Bristol board, 15x21 cm.

I'm in a similar situation, I lost all my hard earned discipline in the last year (had to work more hours at the other jobs). I ended up doing my entry at 10pm and posted at 30 past midnight (a bit late but hey). Great portrait!

This is splendid! Hope you find joy in doing this not frustration.

This is awesome. So glad to see another Doctor through your eyes. <3

Definitely both. Inktober is such a great idea - kick yourself in the a**. Every day. Day after day. Where I stand right now, it's probably going to be hard, but if I make it, finding excuses is going to be a lot harder. I have absolutely no idea where this will lead, but I'm thrilled to find out.

Looks great! Don't put too much pressure on yourself. I'm amazed that you can do something like this at the end of a long day as a form of self-motivation! (Or proving something to yourself, maybe?)
