Queens of the Fair Folk can wear anachronistic armor if they want. :D (In the real world, I came across a statue at the Metropolitan Museum in NY that had a very nice design of armor and pestered Jenny into using it in this piece.)

2016-08-19 19:18:40 +0000 UTCI feel like I could step into this painting and be at war, which I love! Quick question: is there a reason Jenny's armor is from a different era than the men behind her? Or am I wrong? I know the Romans had plate armor, but that it wasn't seen again for centuries as scale and maille were dominate. (Apologies for being picky - "It's fantasy" is a good answer too!)
