Got darker than I wanted... again. And both my scanner and my printer hate this one. Got the scanner to cooperate, but my new printer hasn't been broken in properly yet.
(Yes, one of these days I'll settle on a watermark...) ;)

Fun fact #251: When you google for "Sutton Hoo", you get: helmet - helmet - belt buckle - ship reconstruction - fried chicken. Cloakpin - helmet - vase - fried chicken. Apparently, there's a chicken label of that name. Nearly as weird as when I googled for some pose, a long time ago, and got several (!) different (!!) pics of a shirtless (!!!) Vladimir Putin (...).

2016-04-21 06:38:53 +0000 UTCThis is gorgeous! It doesn't look too dark. The blacks, greys, and blue-ish shades make the golden-browns of the boat pop. It sort of (though not exactly, of course) reminds me of how stormcloud-grey clouds make autumn-gold trees pop.

I think the swans make the figure and the boat pop out. And the detail work on the swans is spectacular. Wow! Fantastic job!
