Four down, three to go.

Yes, that counts as four!! XD

Bonus word for the day: German has its own word for the upper part of a bird's bum. It's Bürzel. Say that aloud. Fluffige Bürzel. Yay.

Four down, three to go.

The upper part of a birds but is its rump. ;-)

I just looked it up; they don't - there seems to be no cognate in English. It's related to German "purzeln", which is to tumble or topple. Also rather cute. ;)

Jenny Dolfen

Fantastic; you need words like that! Wonder if the English 'bustle' shared a common origin?

Erin and Dale

Fun fact: It comes up several times in Donald Duck comics, where they'll say, "Ow, my Bürzel!"

This is turning out great! (Trying to comprehend the fact that someone made up a word that means "the upper part of a bird's hind end" :D

Rowana

They are just fantastic!!! I do love the fluffy butts.

Isabella C

Fluffige Bürzel, fluffige Bürzel, fluffige Bürzel....Now say that ten times fast :D

Corine Hefting

"Die meinen Mund freuen"... as long as they don't feather-dust you! ;)

Jenny Dolfen

Ah, fluffige Bürzel, fluffige Bürzel ... words that make my mouth happy :-) ("meinem Mund freuden"?)

Troels Forchhammer

Plural would be Bürzel, too. :D I... guess. You don't hear it that often.

Jenny Dolfen

Hehehe!! They are some fine Bürzel (n?), too!!

Alexandra Rena

Fluffige bürzel! I like it!!
