Did all of these (and three more unspectacular ones) over the last three days at school with my lovely new Nomad - it's so cool to just feel like sketching, unzip one zipper, have everything handy - and be able to pack it up again at half a minute's notice when I have to go. It makes working on the fly so very easy!
On the left is a Fingon sketch for Josie, which will be turned into a painting soon. :)
Right is a sketch for a "Rangers of the North" piece, the prompt for Krista. Very quick, but I really like it already.
The one in the middle is a piece that I've been wanting to do for years. A lot of influences, Tolkien and Arthurian, crept into it. I think it may be Boromir floating down the Anduin with black swans flying overhead, but I somehow have this image in my head of King Arthur being taken to Avalon not by black-clad queens but by swans. Whatever it turns out to be (or maybe I'll just leave it ambiguous), I just love this concept.
I'll be shipping off the raffle winnings and the postcards/prints today, by the way! :)
