Isabella, it may be of interest to you that Lee Pace auditioned for the role too! XD As did Hugo Weaving. They'd have been quite a stretch for Han and Leia's kids though.

I would never, ever have guessed that Lee Pace was the guy in Pushing Daisies!! O_o Oh my. I agree that casting a relatively unknown actor was the perfect choice for the main young cast; it was the same approach that had worked so well in the OT, and forsaking it was a bad move for the Prequels. Vulnerability - absolutely. It's a great new quality in a Star Wars villain, and I can't wait to see where they're taking it.

2016-02-03 06:48:15 +0000 UTCIf Lee Pace had been Kylo Ren, I would have instantly fallen to the dark side. I think there is a vulnerability in Adam Driver's portrayal that is very appealing. Pace does vulnerability very well, but Kylo Ren can't be Ned.

2016-02-03 05:16:46 +0000 UTCHaha, Hugo Weaving is only five years younger than Carrie Fisher! That would have been extremely weird. I suppose that went back to the time when Kylo Ren was still the "Jedi Killer" without any family connections to the established characters.

2016-02-01 20:58:08 +0000 UTCOh, this is just gorgeous! Are those gold highlights on the mask? I could see a teensy amount of gold there. I think Lee Pace would have been amazing as KR. He is an amazing actor even if Peter Jackass can't dress him up as Thranduil to save anyone's life. I think he was just a little too old. Hugo also looks too old and definitely does not have the right look. Adam Driver is perfect.
