October Update and Behind the Scenes

Hello Patrons! A really rough October is soon to end. And I am going to take the trip to Nottingham for the Everchosen Finals- There will definitely be a video detailing the whole trip!

We moved into the new flat with basically a bed, a couch and a coffee machine. The first two weeks of October were dedicated to turning it into a place to live in. So we spent a lot of time in furniture stores and building it. I picked up a lot of second hand stuff from all over the city (like a lawnmower), installed 10 ceiling lamps (inside and outside), built half a kitchen, 3 different cupboards, half a living room  and painted 5 walls. All of that before even touching the basement studio

I built the whole workbench and desktop space, so I could start working, but had to wait for a LAN cable to be ran through the wall for a stable internet connection, because wifi didn't cut it - or even reach down to the basement.

What's left to do is proper soundproofing/audio optimization, so putting up a curtain to make the room smaller, put some foam on the wall  and probably also do something with the ceiling. I also need to finish building a proper dedicated picture taking space and put up all the proper ceiling lights down here in the basement. It's comming together slowly and it will be great once it is done, but it takes a lot of time for a one man show.

On top of all of this an unexpected death in the family bothered me emotionally more than I expected. Isn't it weird how even if you don't see people for years and have nothing to say anymore - it still hits you hard when you realise that when they are gone you lost your chance to reconnect and maybe make amends?

So, on Friday I will go to Nottingham for the Everchosen. Slowly starting to get nervous and by now I guess...I really want to win that sword. But it's a far cry - competition is tough and obviously what we do is highly subjective, and how do you judge that? so wish me luck, I will need it.

I managed to try the Kimera Kolors and I really like them. I will soon make a video series where I use them and give you my opinions on where they can help and where they might be overrated, so stay tuned.

Moving into November, I look forward to tie up a few lose ends with Videos that are still missing - I am looking forward to finally return to Candy Chan and finish her arm tatto, the mechanical arm, the huge gun and the jacket. I am also looking forward to paint my own busts and try a few airbrush techniques for the Drifter and getting into a few videos about ambient light and to work on the gamut masing and color theory video.

Releases have been slower than I wanted to, but the patreon is in a bit of a tough place. It would be just enough to quit my Monday/Tuesday job if we could hold the 240 patrons we had last month, but I know this number will fluctuate a bit still, so I cant quit it yet - on the other hand it would be great to have two more days to work on content. I will soldier on and give you my best - and hopefully you will still learn from the videos I put out and eventually I will be able to take the plunge into being able to just focus on creating the content you deserve!

Let me know what should take priority in November and what Videos you would like to see sooner than later!
