Skintones Workshop Recap

1 - Over a basecoat of Beige Red (Vallejo) mixed with a little portion of a darker red tone - I used used Clothed Red (Reaper MSP) - gradually starting to mix in Sunny Skintone (Vallejo)

2 - Last step of Sunny Skintone

3 - Gradually adding more Ivory (Vallejo) and Starting to shade the very deep areas (below the nose, under the eyebrows, deep wrinkles) and I overdid it a bit on the cheeks, better to use a mix of Beige Red and your chosen shade-color

4 - Final highlights with Ivory (it's up to you how far you want to go, but this is where we build contrast) and I went to pure ivory on the top of the bridge of the nose, cheekbones and above the eyebrows and fixing shadows under the cheekbones by blending in a lighter shadetone as described above. Applying thin shades of Red (Jo Sonja) under the nose. I decided to work in a bit of texture with my blends to represent older, leathery skin.

5 -  Applying a thin yellow glaze on the top of the skull area and then working back the highlights with Ivory. I chose to blend in a bit of a beard shadow by mixing some black with Beige Red.

6. Worked a bit on smoothnes by glazes of intermediate colors and finished the eyes. The dark hair frames the skintone pretty good.
