Project Genesis
Added 2024-02-23 02:22:14 +0000 UTC- A pretty ambitious title I might say. But with some thought, I want another jab telling and working on another fresh story. And this time I really, really want to see this through.
The Goal:
A game that has both the visuals and the story/text/lore to support it. I am thinking of a mix and balance between a Twine (Text Heavy) and a Visual Novel (Image Heavy) game.
- But like in the game Cyberpunk 2077, the more heavier text and supporting images are in the form of shards that you can collect, view/read.
- Choice based storyline: I know this is ambitious in terms of content , but I want to work on a game that I can add and expand onto little by little through projects.
- Good/Bad Ends: This will forever be a core mechanic to incorporate into the game, where your choices affects how and where your character ends up.
The Plan:
- Work with or at best hire/commission a writer, to formulate the plot/overall storyline, flesh out the dialogues between characters, and add another layer of support in making the visuals for the scenes etc.
The Plot:
I was contemplating a lot if I was really going to share all the details. I considered it to be a spoiler, so I will only share the general plot.
The story starts on an aspiring Netrunner (Hacker) who flew close to the sun aspiring fame. Arrested and facing the consequences of her actions. Her sentence, a choice between:
- "The Hive" a high security prison that performs illicit experiments on the inmates.
- "The Institute" a reformation facility that caters to criminals and unsavory individuals, aiming to re-educate and reform the individual into purpose driven service back into society.

It requires a bit more planning, but your fans will thank you. Let me know if you're still looking for a writer who knows their way around building games. I don't code myself, I'm a product discovery person, but I have released a couple of products and several stories myself.

2024-02-24 01:09:30 +0000 UTCJust an idea. The reason she gets sent to either or one place is that she tried to hack into a government project and got caught, or she got hired to find information on a project for a corp and got caught/betrayed.
