Rendering!
Added 2016-11-08 16:11:13 +0000 UTCJust a small weekly update! While I still need to animate a few scenes, I've already started rendering the first scene, which is 2:40 in lenght and has 5000 frames alone. I found this to be the most efficient way, since rendering can take multiple weeks. This way my PC can render frames over night while I still animate throughout the days, this way no time gets lost.
Trying to show another little update for the weekend! Hopefully by then all the animation will be finalized so I can finally take a short break while the rest of the animation is being rendered. Everything is turning out really well, super happy with the quality so far! (:

2016-11-10 15:43:27 +0000 UTCI'm assuming it will turn out to be around 3:30! Perhaps slightly longer or shorter! (:

2016-11-09 04:01:37 +0000 UTCYep! Already doubled my RAM since during rendering it can easily go beyond 28GB, otherwise this Halloween animation wouldn't have been possible. Also invested into some SSDs that are absolutely crucial when editing uncompressed 4k footage. Next up is my GPU, which will hopefully cut the render time in half. It would require a 12GB VRAM model though, and sadly the Titan is a bit too expensive here and hasn't been available for months. Still waiting for NVidia to release the 1080 Ti, which will hopefully come with 12GB as well.
