Halloween Animation Concept (Spoilers)
Added 2016-10-11 15:30:03 +0000 UTCSo far I haven't said much on the upcoming Halloween animation yet, which is why I'd like to use this post to describe it a bit. Apologies for having been a little quiet about it, I've still been working on the environment and a few other things that were necessary to make this animation work. The actual animating process finally starts today though!
The animation starts in a 1st person POV from a human character. The main idea for the beginning is to have the character looking for a lost person in the woods, they suddenly receive phone messages from Zoe, which will give the viewer an idea where the person went. She'll reveal herself shortly after. First lingering outside of the car, before she suddenly appears on the seat next to the viewer and eventually eats them. A switch to third person will then show her swallowing the character, with her now sitting in the driver's seat.
The runtime is supposed to be around 3 minutes, very much like the Jackal animation. At the moment it's likely that I won't make it to the 31st of October, since there's still a vast amount of animation work ahead of me. In order to make that goal I'll have to compromise either animation runtime, or turn the visuals down significantly, which really wouldn't be in favor of the next animation's quality. I guess 2 months really isn't enough for something that ambitious, but I'll keep posting WIPs and keep everyone updated on the progress!

2016-10-14 05:34:03 +0000 UTCThe the actual animation the phone will be a bit closer to the camera! Furthermore I'll use contrast filters to increase readability as well. I recommend VLC player to properly playback 4K/60FPS videos, if you're on Windows 10 whatsoever, support for those should be native! Alternatively I've posted the video in 1080p as well! No sound there as it was only made as a gif.

2016-10-12 23:53:24 +0000 UTCI guess I need time anyway, dealing with a new computer is a lot worse than I ever remember it being. I forgot how little I know how to do when I'm starting with the bare minimum. Like I don't have programs to do anything anymore. Should the text on the phone (in the image) be readable? The phone display is too bright and the text blends in too much, and is too small to read. I can try saving the image to my computer, but with the default image viewing program I can't even zoom in on an image like I used to be able to do. Even with this computer being newer, I seem to also have to worry about your videos becoming TOO HD for me to run. I can't run your last video file: Slurp_loop_4k_60fps.mp4 and that's just a soundless video version of that gif right?

To make it look realistic Zoe will mostly be illuminated by the soft bounce lighting of the car's headlights! (:

I'm looking forward to seeing how you pull it off this time. The car is kinda dark, though. Will you add in light at some point so we can get a good look at the belly being filled?
