Your Questions for Ukraine Combat Veteran
Added 2025-06-15 10:51:57 +0000 UTCI asked the German combat engineer Buttjer Freimann (pseudonym), which I interviewed/asked previously quite a lot of stuff about the Ukraine War. Here is one video with him: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zh_SmROB2AM
He is open to your questions, although no guarantee that he answers.
He generally does not comment on politics, but is very open to tactical stuff, how/why, all types of munitions, he also is a former weapons instructor and knows a ton of small arms, etc.
Note I am currently also a bit out of ideas, since I am quite fatigued and quite a lot of my videos "bombed", so your questions are also helpful.

Thanks, got an answer, although it is a bit short, I probably will dig more into it/him :)

2025-06-24 16:48:12 +0000 UTCRegarding the entrenchment: how did the sophistication, complexity and thoroughness of entrenchment on the front lines change during last 12 months? Any special counter-solutions against FAB's, drones, surveillance etc.? Are there any notable differences between both sides (quality, level of equipment, mine-laying etc.)?

2025-06-16 11:07:50 +0000 UTCDo you have any experience with man portable anti-personnel fuel air munitions? It seems like a great idea on paper, and the Russians field them as RPGs while the US only sporadically fields them (though the reports on the SMAW-NE seemed very positive). There must be a drawback that isn't obvious to civilians, and I'm curious what that is and if it could be overcome.
