Slight changes to your reward tiers!

As I said, I made some changes to your reward tiers. Overall, rewards are less frequent now but bigger (more postcards, goodie packs, more flexibility with commissions, more digital stuff). I've also introduced commission bonuses at lower tiers, because I want to do fewer "scheduled" Patreon commissions in the long run, but still would like to offer you the option of getting them at a special discount. Needless to say, everything you signed up for will remain totally unaffected! :)

The raffle has also undergone some changes. The original was problematic - I couldn't really offer the large watercolours most people would have loved, and I simply don't have many smaller ones (which I didn't realise until a few months ago), and I had the impression that I you didn't really get what you deserved. So the raffle got a few more items - more goodie bags, and a few digital/personal items (like requests and prompts) that should make the winners happy but take less postage!

Check out the new stuff on the front page (raffle and reward tiers), and feel free to add any thoughts you may have! Especially anything to do with digital content that you will love and that is quicker and easier for me to do than originals. (I guess I was a bit optimistic when I set up my Patreon!)

One problem that may come up at some point is the Euro/dollar conversion. Patreon only allows me to set the currency to USD, and when I set it up, the Euro was at a historic low, meaning it was nearly a 1:1 conversion (good for me, good for US residents). It's still close to that, but should the Euro get stronger again, I'll probably have to make some more changes. Right now, it's all fine. :)

Yep, the print is a great idea - I'll do that! The tutorials are being used - but I've already spiced up the perks with other stuff, too. And yes, new postcards are being made! :) I realised the same thing.

I like Anja's suggestion of sending a print of the prompt taking root. Many people will not have a printer good enough to make something quality out of only a high-res image. (Mine in fact is best described as 'it prints'. It's a good one for what I need, but it's not suited for high quality images). I see many rewards feature postcards, which is nice, but I think you only have like 5-6 different ones. Are more being added now? I don't think it will be fun for many people to end up with the same cards all the time all over (and I have no clue to who I could send those lol) On the tutorial stuff (tiers $5 and $10, unless it's in more tiers and I missed it), are there many people who make use of that? I have no clue, it's not something I would make use of myself. You're not that desperate you want to teach me how to draw (my old art teacher once described it as 'then I finally realized she just could not do it' lol!) t

Wow, that are some changes. ^^ I'll try to phrase my thoughts on that - hopefully I understood everything correctly. But first a question: What is the difference between a sketch and a prompt? I didn't quite get the meaning of the word prompt in your raffle suggestion. (Sorry!) I looove your idea with the commission bonus! Regarding the second raffle prize (the drawing request/prompt): Maybe it would be a better idea to offer a small A5 print instead of a hi-res file for people who won't be able to buy the original painting? That way they would also have something tangible and you could still sell the original on etsy. The hi-res file (in order to have the same "value") would require the winners to have such a great printer as you do. Otherwise they would "only" have the pixels and nothing tangible. That way this second prize would be "less" in value than the first prize commission but still "higher" in value than the A3/A4 prints. (Gosh, I hope this doesn't come across the wrong way, as greedy or something - I'm just a bit concerned about the "you can print it out part". It's not intended to be mean). Concerning the hi-res request: Is there anything we don't know? :D Embarrassing stuff? ^^ I've never seen anything you should even be the tiniest bit ashamed of. We love all your stuff - also your humble beginnigs which are still much much much better than most of us would be able to do. I also love your generosity regarding the postcards! <3 But are you aware of that in the 10$ tier you might now actually pay more postage? (not quite sure) The original offer was 3 cards every two months which makes 6 x 0,80 cent = 4,80€ international postage per person per year. Now, it might be 4 x 1,50 € = 6,00 € international postage per person per year. The reason why I'm not sure is because I don't know whether sending 5 cards in an envelope will still be possible in a normal envelope or will require you to send a "Kompaktbrief" for 1,50 € each. Oh, and one last thing: There is an indication error in the 30$ tier. It says 4 patrons but all 2(!) sold out. Sooo, done ... finally ! Sorry for this mile-long text!!!^^
