Very first preview of my latest piece: "Aure Entuluva". Húrin swinging his axe in the Battle of Unnumbered Tears. I decided to put my newly-accumulated Osprey book collection to some good use for the looks of Men in the First Age. If Rohirrim are Anglo-Saxons, it makes a lot of sense for the First Age to look Frankish, or any other late-Germanic. I'm such a glutton for punishment. Chain mail? Bah Humbug! Scale mail is now a Thing.

I like that you incorporate Tolkien's historical inspirations in your work, rather than just sticking everyone in generic fantasy garb/armor.
