Drum Machine 101 - The Book

This is the perfect companion for our new transcription of Aphex Twin's Blackbox Life Recorder 21f (and also XTAL). The chapter describes a few methods on how to achieve the shortened drum sounds used so often by Aphex Twin, Autechre and the like. We'd say this is a more advanced technique, that's why we gave it the temporary chapter number 30 :)
Hello everyone! Today we have a little surprise for you: "Drum Machine 101 - The Book" :) It's still very much a draft with only the absolute basics, but we're thinking about continually updating it with new chapters to include all the scattered tidbits of information from our videos and more. This is a side project that's been on my mind for a very long time and we think it could become a useful field guide on drum programming - with all the necessary basics, tricks, hacks, workarounds and advanced techniques.
As of now it's just a few pages, but we hope you enjoy reading nonetheless :) Let us know what you think! Any feedback is welcome, feel free to leave it here in the comments or in a private message.
