This is my drum pattern transcription in the style of "Outkast - B.O.B. (Bombs over Baghdad)". This is the runner-up from our last drum pattern poll (the next call for patterns will be this sunday) and a hot candidate for a "Drum Patterns Explained" episode! It's an awesome uptempo beat that features a few nice specialties like triple and quadruple substeps as well as swing on a single instrument. And there are a bucketload of variations. During the guitar solo every drum pattern is different - I transcribed half of them for you. In the sound samples I opted for an acoustic drum kit combined with LinnDrum Claps. You can listen to the patterns in the order they're shown in the transcription or as a complete runthrough.
