Roland TR-6S Review

We already have over one year of experience with the machine, so after this review you'll have a very good idea of where its strengths and limitations lie. It's a longer video (also featuring the endless Phil Collins void for the first time), but we tried a more humourous approach to keep you entertained - hope you enjoy the additional nonsense ;)

We would love a TR-8S video -- we ended up buying one because of the TR-6S video, but wanted to get something a wee bit more direct to play with.

2024-01-25 00:23:21 +0000 UTCHi Mark, I was absolutely surprised by the update, I never thought Roland would add the CR-78 so late in the TR-6S/8S product lifecycle. I was so happy about it we had to change the thumbnail and add a sticky comment to the video ;) Makes me wonder though if there is any successor the the TR-8S in the works at all. To sum it up: 14 new ACB instruments from the CR-78, even the "metal beat" component of the Hats and Cymbals is adjustable. Don't like the 808 chromatic bass as much though, it somehow packs less punch than the regular 808 kicks.
