1 year anniversary, 10.000 subscribers, what's next
Added 2021-09-05 06:43:16 +0000 UTCOne year ago today, we were working on our very first video - Drum Machine 101 Episode 1 - and getting to grips with our first ever stop motion animation sequence when our preorder of the RD-6 arrived at the doorstep...
It's been a year of really hard work since then! We learned a lot and refined our production skills - and yet making the videos is still a shockingly time-consuming task for just two people π But that is time we're very happy to invest!
Your feedback from the recent poll along with the overwhelmingly positive reactions to the first episode of "Drum Patterns Explained" has confirmed our feelings and made it clear in which direction the channel should head in. Your fellow patron Lauren Steely was spot on in her comment - we will now focus less on gear reviews (although we'll still do them once in a while) and more on sharing knowledge that is gear-independent. In short: More videos you can learn something from. Patterns and Cheat Sheets will also remain a priority.
In fact we're right in the middle of producing the next episode of "Drum Patterns Explained". We've completed the screenplay, the voiceover, the drum transcriptions as well as the backing tracks and we will soon begin shooting :)
Stay tuned for another little surprise which should be ready in the next two weeks or so...
P.S. The poll also made it very clear that literally *no one* needs more sample packs. That's more than fine with us, we'll scratch them from the Patreon tier descriptions π
