Are high res files too big?
Added 2018-09-12 06:42:25 +0000 UTCI was wondering, since the high res files I provide as rewards are very, very large (12000x8483 pixels) , if they might be too large to be useful. How do you feel about that size? Should I also provide an inbetween sized version (6000x4242 pixels) in addition to the current size?
Feedback is much appreciated!

I find the size is fine, mostly because I have command-line tools like ImageMagick at my disposal to resize them quickly and without needing to load an editor up to do so. So I guess I'm a bit of a special case...

2018-09-14 13:15:52 +0000 UTCI agree with ZZAMAMEE. It is clunky for on-screen viewing, but comes out so smooth on paper. If the question were one or the other, I'd keep the full size. But since you're offering a half-size in addition, I'm saying go for it.

2018-09-12 12:43:00 +0000 UTCI do love the size you provide, because i have printed a few pieces in large format, however having an in between size would be great as well.

2018-09-12 10:50:50 +0000 UTCI also really appreciate the high-rez files, but can totally see others making better use of a mid-size file due to limitations of power/bandwidth.

2018-09-12 08:08:06 +0000 UTCI like high quality and high resolution, the only thing I can not install such an image on the desktop is because the format of my monitor is 21: 9 and the images are stretched cutting out most of the elements
2018-09-12 07:57:57 +0000 UTCI really like the high-res files you provide. They’re great for large prints at 100% res. I do resize them at 75% of the original res since the windows explorer have issues to provide a preview of the image at such high resolution. In that case, I don’t notice any lost in details even with a 27 inches 5k screen (5120*2880). Maybe providing that 75% resolution image in addition to the 100% one would be a good idea but it’s not necessary. I can do it myself, it doesn’t take a lot of time. Have a nice day.

2018-09-12 07:04:25 +0000 UTCIf it is in addition to, I see no reason why not if it is not too much trouble. but I agree with the other comment, I was hoping to make personal prints of some of the pieces if you'd allow that.

2018-09-12 06:50:51 +0000 UTCI like the size you provide because, with your permission, we can print them for personal use. I work for a printer manufacturer and have been waiting for the right time/image to print one. I know I'm in the minority of fans though who have access to printing on 120" wide rolls of paper for personal use.
