New avatar features in next episode

Hey guys!  Our illustrator lovely Victoria finished her second major art tasking yesterday.

We always thought it was kind of lame how you pick one hairstyle and you’re stuck with it for the whole game.  In the next episode you’ll be able to change your heroine’s look between scenes – wave it, straighten it or curl it for a club shift or a date or a night out:

Or tie it up for the gym or the office:

Each hairstyle has multiple variants that respond to the story (e.g. bedhead/just-been-fucked, just-got-soaked, swept-back-so-customers-can-see-my-boobs):

We’re also adding new skin tones, allowing for more diverse heroines during character creation – Latina CIA officers are now A Thing!

(Important: at this stage it’ll only support Caucasian ethnicities like Anglo-American, Irish-American, Italian-American, Hispanic-American, etc.  It doesn’t support African or Asian heroines – if and when that changes in the future, it’ll require new art assets, not just palette swaps.)

While she was working on this, she also adjusted the shading effects on the small breasts to make them look smaller.  (This was a response to requests from multiple players who want small boobs Kate to be a lifetime member of the IBTC.)

We wanted to get this done now because it’ll require a clean restart of the game for you to experience it.  This was an absolute ton of work for lovely Victoria – everything had to be hand drawn, meshes expertly layered and applied for the skin, and she really hates drawing hair.

Meanwhile I did a bunch of writing and coding tasks bringing the next episode closer to its releasable state.

Next steps

• Victoria is moving onto clothing assets

• I’m coding in the new hair and skin assets so they’re selectable during character creation and they display properly in the game.  (Note: this isn’t trivial, I need to make sure everything connected to hair still works like eyebrows, pubic hair, etc)

• Tomorrow I have a call booked with Thalion to discuss his ideas for improved project management

I know everyone wants it to just be ready, but so much work goes into making an episode of this game and we're a very small team. I'm working on it every day, I can't work on it any harder. 🦀❤️‍🔥
