[Ep 1.17 “Girls’ Night Out”] It's not ready

Guys, I'm so sorry to report that the episode's not going to be ready for release tomorrow.

I know this has taken ages and I'm really sorry.  I've been stressing out and working long hours on it, but it's not yet in the state where I'm happy to release it.

I hope it's going to be worth the wait.  I'll keep working on it tomorrow and report progress regularly until it's fucking done.

Sorry for the bad news. 😞

Well, I decided to help out and answer at least one of your questions - I had to become a Patron to post this so everyone "Bitching, Moaning and Complaining" here is paying for the privilege. Discord and other forums are a different matter. I have not created something like this so I can't properly estimate the effort, but there isn't enough content there (even taking the abandoned versions into account) to justify the billing model. The oldest post I could find with the $1 tier is from 30 Aug 2017 - at $1/month that adds up to quite the sum. One could buy games with far more content for that money. I think Crush should switch to the "Per creation" billing model (https://support.patreon.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002355991-How-Patreon-billing-works#h_01G1S9J1GTVAQR6AA85FG698RM) if he can't deliver more often and can't be more transparent.

I am actually finding this interesting, cause Honestly we got people wanting it now and then others that say wait. But look at it from this side of the Table? Have any of you actually ever Created a Visual Novel or anything like what Crush is doing? It seems to me People want their Cake and to Eat it also. But how many of the people Bitching, Moaning and Complaining are actual Patrons of Crush's? Or just people bitching cause it takes to Long? Complaining isn't going to Help anything all your gonna do is Stress Crush out that he gives up on the Project. Everyone just Chill and Relax, when the update is done he will upload it. Support him or don't but honestly there is millions of Games, Visual Novels and other Porn games out there if you don't want to wait on him.

extremely understandable - in fact, I was going to say it wasn't you and that other commenters have been extremely aggressive. however it seems a lot of them aren't truly mad but just annoyed at the lack of transparency and delays when the content is technically readable. and I can totally see how that's upsetting, so I retract my statement. Crush should definitely be willing to make that compromise especially since it's costing him support - I don't think many of us would complain about average quality if he just gave us more accurate timelines

Speaking for myself, I am not angry, only frustrated and impatient. I am aware putting pressure on the author and let him stress about the delay won't help him deliver any sooner, quite the contrary, and I am sympathetic to his purported case of writer's block. OTOH, I am less willing to grant him unconditional credit and support for indefinite delays when a playable version exists, and to indulge his apparent committment to artistic perfectionism. If you ask me, when you publicly ask for support of your project and take patrons' money, you accept a responsibility that may require to compromise with perfectionist urges for the sake of transparency and timely delivery. This especially when dealing with games that can often be edited, improved, and released in subsequent versions at different stages of development. Many game creators that face similar circumstances release incomplete but playable versions of their work to prevent excessive delays. I respect and sympathize more for that than for being strung along because the work is never good or sexy enough in the author's eyes.

why do people get so angry about this? cancel your membership if you want to, but getting angry about it doesn't impress anyone and it definitely won't let Crush get the update out sooner.
