Post Demo update and upcoming changes

I have posted this announcement on other social medias and I am now posting it here in order to make sure all of the supporters read this message.

Using the feedback on the last month regarding the demo, we decided we need to make some changes.

During the last 2 years, I've worked alone on the project and a few months ago I was joined in development with my girlfriend. She helps me a lot with environmental design, marketing and many other things that take off some weight from my shoulders. But now the game's grown so much that even 2 people can't handle it, which is why we need to get more people to work on the game; so we can truly make the best backrooms game out there with the full release.

We also need to remake the entities. They are a major issue currently, bad AI, not scary enough, the whole negative bundle, we will put extra work in that area to make entities with unique models, mechanics and shape-shifting forms, which will be made possible by getting more people to work on the game.

Another issue the game currently face is that there are no major challenges. While playing the current demo there are no major challenges, which is why in the future we will remake the quests to have Unique areas, with entities chasing sequences, unique mechanics for each quests and address some of the current features like building things (might be removed or remade).

And of course fix bugs/multiplayer issues and many other things will be more possible since we'll be more than 2 people working on the project!

ALSO, some people were expecting from our game to be very similar to other backrooms games, which is NOT the case, Infinitum is a story game and it will have dialogues in it (there is a skip dialogue button and we will further improve the dialogues and voting mechanics),

BUT because of the feedback we received, WHICH is the MOST IMPORTANT thing in a game (community feedback), we discussed and decided that the full release will contain two other gamemodes. An EXPLORATION gamemode and another gamemode, which doesn't have a name yet. This game mode will be similar to other backrooms games, but improved, and is built on exactly what the backrooms community wants. Some of these features include: Players being able to play as entities and hunt the other players, mutation (random entity perks on each run), non infinite levels BUT large levels areas where players can be in different levels at the same time, and those areas will have random generation, puzzles (you guys love these), entities, multiple tasks, random levels generation, and complete things to get to the next level type of game by completing tasks but it has many items, levels, features and most importantly NO DIALOGUES, LET'S GO! The perfect sunday night game mode for a 30-90 minutes run with your friends, no bullshit, straight action! I believe you guys will love this, especially put in combination with the character customization system.

We'll also be releasing monthly updates starting december 31st on the private access branch which everyone here should have access too (this month I want to focus on fixing bugs and getting everyone setup in the team).

Because of those things, I will also need to postpone the release game that was aimed to be this Dec-Feb towards the end of 2025/start of 2026. It's the only way to not ship a buggy featureless game. I don't want to say a specific month because this is the FIRST and LAST time I am delaying the game's release, an amazing community like this one doesn't deserve a shit game with shitty delays so this is the first and last time this happens.
