Prototype's done!

I was planning to create a fully functional prototype, with every possible option and outcome simulated, but Hyneman and Tommygun convinced me that that'd be overkill.  So today I completely finished one branch from start to finish, and shared a working prototype of it with the others in the team.

I'm really excited about this.  Tommygun observed that the new approach will turn sex scenes into "something really close to a complicated quest in an RPG".  esclavage described it as "a decision tree that allows for flowing action instead of the current recursive Sex Engine".  It's going to be a serious improvement.

Next steps
I want to give the others some time to experiment with the prototype and suggest improvements.  Also, as someone who prides himself on working without breaks: I feel like I need some time to recharge.

I've always seen the Patrons as my bosses, which is why I always try to be transparent about progress, plans, successes and setbacks.  Something I also need to be transparent about is that right now I feel like I might be burning out – I feel tired and run down, I'm stressed out and irritable about small problems, I've developed a fucking eye twitch – I need a little break so I can keep producing.

So, I'm planning to take it kind of easy tomorrow and the weekend.  I'm a workaholic, so I'll probably spend some of the time catching up on community messages and doing some planning for the next sprint, but I basically just want to bimble for a few days.  Next dev day is Monday.  Have a great weekend, guys, I'll see you then.  :-)

I'd like to have the ability to skip the new camera erotic scene that was added recently. It's fun on the first play through, but it drags on repeat play through.

Blue Cabaret

You definitely deserve a break.

Quaryelle

I think that you should gather some first hand impressions during the weekend to improve on the Sex Engine later on.

Breadloaf

Please take some well-deserved R&R. I went through two burn-outs by overdoing something I loved doing—do *not* trifle with your health (because, apparently, body are grudge-bearing bastards…)

Heresiarch

You need a break to move forward. You're working hard enough.

skyline_pj

You've done an insane amount of work. Take a break. I just renamed 900 files by hand, and found out that I have to rename them again. Arrg. I know how you feel.

ArtoreusRex

Take a break, I'm sure it'll be good to relax and help bring new ideas to the table. This week seemed like a lot of work and great progress for it, you've earned a rest.

Dracker Drap

Take a little break, stretch the legs and get away from the computer for a little bit... then get back at it refreshed. You've been doing a wonderful job so far and don't want to see you burned out or rushing things.

Have a great weekend! Recharge and relaxation is key to not just a good life, but creativity. So heed your 'bosses'! Kick back and forget about it all for a few days!

William Urquhart

When you rest and relax your subconscious gets a chance to create new amazingness. Take the time - three days, week whatever

Buster4MC

Get some well-earned rest, friend. I've seen burnout kill too many passion projects. Self-care first, always.

Anand

Hell, take the week off.
