In the last sprint, the MoSCoW Method (a simple system of prioritising tasks) helped us focus during the final push. We decided to use it again – from the start this time – to see if it could help us shorten the dev cycle.
While organising the tasks for the next planned version (1.6: NPC Upgrade) into a MoSCoW list, an interesting observation arose:
Most of the critical tasks would hardly change the player experience until the subsequent planned version (1.7: Sex Engine Upgrade) was delivered.
My first instinct was to load lots of non-critical tasks into 1.6, so there'd be something new for you to play. But, on reflection, a more elegant plan emerged.
We think it's possible to combine the next two planned updates (1.6: NPC Upgrade and 1.7: Sex Engine Upgrade) into one single update (1.6: NPC & Sex Engine Upgrade).
Basically:
Attached is a working draft of our MoSCoW task list for delivering a combined 1.6 update. We'd love to hear your feedback on the plan and the list – please let us know your thoughts here or on Discord.
