Wednesday sprint report

Sprint target: release 1.5 (avatar upgrade)
Days worked: 31/31 | Pomodoros logged: 258
Task points completed: 108/248

I spent today coding in more avatar clothes.  While Victoria continues to create new clothes for the main game, my job is repurposing existing clothes from the Lifepath to fit the new body shapes and boob sizes.  It's time consuming work, but your teen/university agents will look better than ever when we're done.  (This will pay off when we implement all the new Kink Vignettes we've been sent!)

Hyneman created a really cool UI feature I've been meaning to share with you for a while, now.  A repeated criticism that came up in the last release was the the green popups, which show the XP you've earned in a scene, come and go too fast.

We realised that we don't have a consistent way to communicate "out of character" info to the player, so Hyneman created a really slick new notification system based on the notifications in the OSX operating system.

This gives us a consistent way to communicate "out of character" facts with you – XP increases, skills levelling up, status effects impacting your character (e.g. alerts when your agent is drunk, or tired, or horny), inventory changes, dice roll outcomes, critical successes or failures, etc.

Nobody's going to be fapping to this new feature (except possibly NakedTuna), but it will make the whole game better visually organised and more pleasant to play.  :-)  I've attached a little demo of the system for you to check out.

Next dev day is tomorrow.  Oh hey, I got a fortune cookie!  Let's see what it says.

Thanks for the feedback everybody (except Breadloaf)

Especially if you take page 1 of your test, I think that the countdown is too short. If the message should contain a bit more text, you can quickly miss one of the other messages in this short countdown. If I look at Message 1 and keep feeling 2sec on it, before I go to Message 2, since 2sec stay and select Message 3 and there again felt 2sec remain, before I go to Message 4, the countdown of Message 1 has almost expired. For my part I would find 20-30sec better. If you want to have the screen free, you can quickly click away the messages.

Oooh, that's a neat feature, I'm curious as to how they'll look in-game :3

Would be cool if the popup you hover over keeps in place and doesn't slide upwards, if any popup above time out.
