Female Agent is being built using extensible systems, which is a fancy way of saying that we can add an unlimited amount of content to some areas – including content created by our amazing fans!
One of those areas is the Kink Vignette system. There are five in the base game, but there could easily be 50, and we're ready to take your contributions. Full instructions in the attached PDF.
I can't wait to see what you guys come up with!

Aha! In your browser, there should be an option to save the file once it's open (File > Save ?). Save it somewhere you can find it again. In the Twine home screen, choose "Import From File", and choose the file you just saved. It will open in Twine.

I didn't really mean to suggest which way around the vignettes work - it feels like the vignettes unlock the kinks narratively, but overall it probably doesn't matter and you know how things work under the hood a lot better than me. Also I'm glad you seem to be recovering well from your surgery, I hope you have the time to get some proper rest between work and Female Agent. Feel better!

2019-04-24 12:16:41 +0000 UTCThe idea you described would be a really good "Likes Rough Sex" Kink Vignette, by the way :-) The system is currently structured the other way round – so the kinks unlock vignette content, instead of the vignettes unlocking kinks – but we might revisit this in the future.

However, they need to be categorised under one specific Kink, and this should be the kink that best fits the overall "theme" of the vignette. For example, the current Likes Older Men kink has a professor flirting with the agent. She can start an affair if she Likes Older Men or is Promiscuous, or she can wear revealing clothes to class if she's an Exhibitionist. So there are multiple ways to interact with the KInk Vignette, but it's considered a "Likes Older Men" scene because that's the broad topic of the vignette. The game is set up to offer one vignette from each Kink, so that every agent gets a variety of experiences during university.

I know the wet t-shirt contest does something like this where you get to pick your path based on your kinks, but what about in other ways - scenes that can run with more than one kink simultaneously e.g. spin the bottle could be both bisexual and exhibitionist if it was done in front of a large enough group, or if one kink scenario could lead to another one, e.g. you discover bondage porn on a male friend's/flatmate's computer and you start enjoying it (gets you the 'likes rough sex' kink) and which in a subsequent scene/subsequent part of the same scene you can start up a casual sexual relationship with him (gets you the promiscuous kink).

Pregnancy risk is a frequent user request (the mechanism we're thinking of using to introduce it is the tailored anti-HIV drug she's given having an unexpected counteraction with her birth control). The scene you describe could be a subtle way of switching that on or off in a playthrough.

2019-04-23 19:40:57 +0000 UTCwhat about hidden kinks? like, the kink is selectable, but is awarded for choosing certain options or meeting certain requirements during other sexual encounters? eg. when an agent with any of the 'promiscuous', 'likes rough sex', or 'likes older men' kinks is having any regular old sex during college that ends up being unprotected, the 'likes risky sex' kink might show up and say that it is a risky time for the agent, and asks if she'd like to continue doing it bare. selecting no turns off future 'likes risky sex' kink opportunities. however, selecting yes injects some additional flexible lines into the kink vignette that talk about the possibility of being knocked up by some random guy as something that heightens the experience. this would enable the 'likes risky sex' kink for future 'promiscuous', 'likes rough sex', and 'likes older men' situations.

I can also see how the game could have more specific kinks, but the tradeoff would mean longer development time. Note that Crush mentioned 5 base kink vignettes which could easily be increased. That's just smaller text passages describing the kink during the Lifepath part of the game.

2019-04-23 04:53:57 +0000 UTCcan you help me understand why it would need to be tied in to one of the existing kinks, and not be created as a new kink? also, a girl can be shy and introverted and still have the breeding kink, so i'm not sure promiscuous would fit exactly. i believe it could function well with all other kinks- except bisexual i guess. <i>Edit: promiscuous, likes rough sex, and likes older men would be the most suitable.</i> on a side note: you mentioned in the post how there are 5 base kinks, which could easily be increased to 50; are we creating a new base kink? or do we create an offshoot of an existing base kink?

2019-04-22 10:25:39 +0000 UTCwould having an acute breeding fetish and/or enjoying some risky sex during college (or another suitably aged event) be acceptable for the story? the kink would be a scene where the agent is able to enjoy the risk of having bareback sex during her fertile period which may or may not result in a creampie (plenty of possible outcomes to suit player fantasy), without actually wanting a baby (nor getting pregnant). the player could control the outcome through selecting how the agent conveys her feelings about the matter through choices, but also how she responds to her sexual partner's randomly generated desires and how she observes him finish, so that a certain combination of results can be met.
