"This is two, two, zero, Alpha one nine, respond."
In the infinity of space, among its immense constellations and stars, traveled a convoy of three huge alien ships, with their wingspans being able to exceed three hundred and fifty (350) meters. The ships traveled in complete silence through space, going unnoticed for the most part.
These ships belonged to the Decepticon vanguard, designed to colonize other planets in search of minerals and supplies to help win the war against the Autobots. However, these ships were now completely lost.
In charge of the flagship, The Imperato, Zibrock was at the command post, sitting in the main chair while several other logistics robots operated the ship to keep it running at maximum capacity.
"This is two, two, zero, Alpha one, nine, respond." A Decepticon in charge of communications was in front of an advanced monitor, trying to get in contact with the other Decepticon ships in addition to the other two, and they were nearby.
Zibrock in his chair could only frown; he was the biggest and best spy in the entire Decepticon army, in charge of his armada, which, although it consisted of only three ships, was still a force to be reckoned with, capable of moving the balance in whichever favor said ships were in, an honor not many possessed. He achieved this by becoming the maker of several operatives, which ended in complete success, making him rise in rank each time.
To the point of being the right hand of the Decepticon leader, Megatron, so much so was the trust Zibrock gained with the Decepticons, that when Megatron left Cybertron in search of the Supreme Spark and was not seen again hundreds of years ago, Zibrock took Megatron's place and thus led the Decepticon outpost while their leader was missing, and now, he had the important task of transporting the newly found Supreme Spark, along with a total of two hundred and fifty (250) seeds, to an allied base.
The supreme spark, a legendary artifact and legend, capable of terraforming entire planets and being the key to the survival of the Cybertronian race, was found after hundreds of years of being lost. The Decepticon was able to find it again, finding it traveling embedded in an asteroid belt, to be taken and sent to Cybertron, a task now done to perfection by Zibrock.
However, a few hours ago, the ship had lost all contact with the outposts, after they had to make an emergency space jump after being caught in the middle of a stellar plutonium storm, which lashed the ship with electromagnetic radiation threatening to damage it.
But if things couldn't get any worse, due to the high electromagnetic charge the jump was uninterrupted, causing them to veer off course. Leading to the current situation, a Cybertronian convoy with a cargo that could change the course of the war was lost in the middle of infinite space.
"My lord, I have received no response signal from the outposts, and the travel location is not showing on the ship's star charts," replied a pilot in his characteristic mechanical voice.
"Keep trying; we need to get to Cybertron as soon as possible," replied Zibrock, looking bitter at the news that they were most likely lost.
"My lord! I received an electromagnetic field signal belonging to a solar system, location Centaury one-three," said another operator, causing Zibrock to wave his hands in the air.
With that, a holographic image shone from the ceiling, showing what the operator said, revealing a young solar system, no more than five billion years old. Zibrock smiled, not for discovering a solar system, but because this solar system was similar to the one Megatron had pointed out when he left years ago in search of the supreme spark.
And just to make sure, he asked the air, "What are the coordinates of this solar system?"
One of the operators typed quickly at his station, as thousands of strange images and symbols appeared on his screen, "It is sector one three, within Centaury Maximus, Midgar is in that system."
Zibrock grimaced, remembering the time when the Father of All stopped the expansion of the Decepticons to the nine realms, getting thousands of compatriots killed, and thanks to that, the Autobots gained ground in the war for Cybertron.
However, he had to make a decision fast, as the ships would not endure long in the vacuum of space, "What planet possesses an atmosphere that will protect the ships from the vacuum of space while they are being repaired?" he asked, getting another round of rapid keystrokes from the operatives.
"Midgar sir" they replied, causing Zibrock to let out an annoyed sigh, unable to think about how damn lucky he was.
For one, he had three ships they needed to maintain as soon as possible, plus verify that the seeds had not been damaged. The only place where that could be done was under the influence of the insufferable Father of All, someone they couldn't afford to bother under the circumstances.
Still, Zibrock knew the risk had to be taken; it was either that or the ships would implode and the seeds, the supreme spark, and the crewmen would die. And in an era of constant war for survival, Zibrock knew he had to take the risk, just as all of Cybertron had risen up to free itself from the tyranny of the Quintessons.
He had managed to survive that war, and then all the ones that followed, and the ones that followed after them, using all his will to live, to use the ladder that chaos offered and so climb the ranks every chance he could, and now, when the chance for the Decepticons to win the war and Cybertron to be saved, he could not stand idly by when all he had to do was take a chance.
And now here, in command of his convoy, with a crew of over a thousand support robots and a hundred and twenty Decepticons fit for ship maintenance and defense, as well as the one in charge of carrying the most precious cargo in this whole damned war between Decepticons and Autobots. He had to do it.
So looking at the beautiful young solar system in front of him, which offered him the chance to start over, grow in strength and size, and then bring Cybertron back to its might, Zibrock gave the order.
"Direct the ship to coordinate Alpha, three, ninety, Fox, and dock at said planet," Zibrock ordered, as he rose from his seat and exited the cockpit.
After several minutes of walking through the corridors of the futuristic and grandiose alien ship, Zibrock arrived at a large door of black, obsidian-like material, but with a cold glow.
Inserting a tendril of his finger into the access slot, Zibrock entered after the large door opened to let him through.
Inside, he was greeted by a spacious room, filled with several dozen Nexus robot soldiers parked silently across the room, armed with servo armor covering their bodies while carrying rifles and cannons that glowed faintly at the tip of the muzzle.
In the center of the room, there was a large structure, with several hundred compartments guarded with a type of glass, which were occupied by football-like artifacts, the size of a surfboard, only made of a titanium-like material, with gold and black lines all over their structure, which formed intricate symbols, clearly a type of ancient language.
"With your help, I can finally break free of Megatron's grip, and be free once and for all, as well as become the king of a new Cybertron, one made in my own image" Zibrock commented to himself, as he thought of all the opportunities that had come his way.
"My lord, we have arrived at the ordered planet, beginning docking, what are your new orders?" a voice was heard in Zibrock's ear, coming from a device able to communicate with everyone on the ship.
"Send stealth reconnaissance probes towards the planet codenamed Midgar and have them investigate everything about said planet," Zibrock ordered as he proceeded to look at another much more precious object, one that would help him to become if only in at least one part, the best version of himself again.
"Also, find a strategically suitable location that meets the requirements for creating a new Cybertron," Zibrock spoke again sometime later, earning a quick response from the previous Decepticon.
"Excuse me, my lord, but a new Cybertron?" From the Decepticon's tone of voice, he sounded doubtful: "Aren't we going back to our planet?"
"Cybertron is dead! The war took care of that!" Zibrock replied angrily, making the Decepticon in the command room where he stood trembling. "Just do as I command and fulfill your purpose." Finished saying Zibrock then disconnected the connection, being left glimpsed by the beauty offered by the supreme spark in front of him.
