So... I guess I'm not moving.

This is completely unrelated to magic. Lol. But I am no longer moving.... full story below if you want to know all the details and drama.

About a month ago, we renewed our lease at our current house (which would go into effect on July 16th). Less than a week later, a family who we were acquainted with came to our door to see if we would be interested in buying their house, because they were moving and immediately thought of us.

We worked things out with them verbally, agreed on a price and move in date, and they told us to get out of our lease renewal asap. So we did. We had our current landlord put our house back on the market (2 weeks ago), and they have already shown it to what appeared to be an interested party.

Today, the family who we had a verbal agreement with, suddenly changed their minds. So now I am scrambling to NOT terminate our lease renewal here.

I don't think anyone has signed with them yet, so I should be able to just stay here... but there is a chance the people they showed the house to already signed. I think they would have told us, but maybe not.

I won't know until tomorrow because everyone is off for the holiday today.

We have also already packed up about half of our house and purchased new things for the new house, which we have no use for here... Now I get to spend the weekend unpacking and trying to return stuff.

UPDATE:
No one had put a down payment on our current house, so we were able to reinstate our current lease. Whew....
