So, I'm a little nervous revealing this - I'm not sure how well this will be received - but it's something I want to at least try so here it is!
The Enchanter. Clearly inspired by the Wizarding World, this completely original publication will be written and designed from the perspective of witches and wizards - never breaking the 3rd wall. It will not contain any of Warner Bros' copyrighted or trademarked materials. I'm actually in the process of filing my own trademarks and copyrights for this magazine and its logo.
Just like my Halloween Quibbler, and my new Quibbler in the works - I need content for this thing. I can only write so much with my YouTUbe channel, job, and life. Sometimes I feel like I have zero time for anything! If anyone would like to be a regular writer for this publication, let me know.
I haven't released any information for this outside of Patreon so please keep it quiet.
I've also reached out on other social networks for real shop owners (shops that are magical, for example wandmakers) on Etsy and other places, to contact me if they would like me to design an ad for their shop for a mystery project. Well, this is that project. If anyone here is interested in that feel free to contact me.
Everything about this is my brain child. I'm actually creating a pretty deep "spin-off" world around this and other items like it, yet to be revealed. I have characters, locations, schools, etc. I just haven't really mentioned it much because I wasn't sure how interested anyone would be in a Harry Potter spin-off fan created world/universe.
Let me know what you think.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR COLLABORATORS:
I can't pay anyone... yet. But if it goes well and I actually start making a profit then I definitely want to start compensating contributors. Honestly, one day I'd like to have people actually subscribe to a bi-monthly (every other month) subscription to this. If that happened I would also be able to charge real businesses for ad space. And at that point I'd have no trouble paying writers and designers.
Anyway, daydreams aside, the stories can really be anything as long as it makes sense in the wizarding world. The only real rule is to stay away from all of Warner Bros copyrights - which includes business name (like Honeydukes), and character names. The world I'm creating is supposed to basically work with the wizarding world theme, but not directly reference anything in particular from it. It should be able to stand on its own.
Other than writers and advertisers, I'm also looking for designers and artists. Id love to have some regular ongoing wizardly comic strips!
If you want to possibly collaborate, I'd like to hear your ideas and see a sample of your work. You can email it to me at submissions@mugglemagic.net.
