Preview/Update 8/2/21

Howdy, all! Have a Dark preview.

I totally forgot to do the update yesterday. I got off work, ate dinner and sat down to watch a little bit of stuff on YouTube. Four hours later I had accomplished nothing. I’m also calling February’s vlog a wash. I tried to sit down and record something on the weekend, and just got bitch-slapped by a migraine. And I’ve felt like shit ever since. I think it was the lights blasting in my eyes. I mean, I could throw something together... maybe something in the spirit of Pokémon’s anniversary... maybe...

I’m currently scrambling to get caught up with Dark. I know what I’m doing with one half of the chapter, but Sune and Henry are giving me grief. Blazing Trinity will come after that. There’s also some talk about a new Self Insert Apocryphal Tale, too... look out for that one.

I haven’t really got much going on. We streamed a bad Godzilla movie over the weekend, a bunch of us on the discord server, which was a lot of fun. I’d like to do more streaming stuff like that, but I really just don’t have the energy to make it happen. I’ve also started reading the ancient Warhammer series ‘The Vampire Genevieve’. It’s actually really good fantasy horror stuff on its own merits. Lots of ghosts and monsters and gory dismemberment. The kind of stuff you won’t get in Warhammer books these days. It’s also so old that it works as a standalone thing (1989! Older than me!), so if you feel that horror itch, I recommend it. I’ve also been watching the anime for Princess Connect Re Dive, because it was billed as ‘a more chilled out Konosuba’. I’m eight episodes deep now and still have no idea why these cute anime girls are doing any of this, but... it’s fun enough, I guess.
