This version is the first in a series of 8 combat updates! In version 0.8.2, we've made major technical improvements to the animations. We've fixed many bugs from earlier versions of the game so that we can add new animations without any consequences in the future. We've also added several new game mechanics related to Yoki and fixed some old ones.
π£ What's new?
Now, a weaker fireball is used when attacking with a jump fireball, and a large fireball attack is only possible on the ground. Both attacks use the same amount of mana.
The shield can now be activated while jumping. It cannot be held as long as a ground shield, but it can be used as a great way to quickly defend yourself in flight!
New game animations have added liveliness and variety to the gameplay. We have completely rebuilt all of the animations in the game:
New animations for hooks
New shield animation
Shield destruction particles
New attack animation
New slime death animations
New animations for Yoki's jumps
Improved climbing animation
Slimes are now transparent
Yoki's pink hair no longer appears in left animations
Fireball sizes have been fixed
Color profiles in character animations have been fixed
Animation files now take up less device memory
A new soundtrack, βAshpetal,β has been added. Minor changes have also been made to existing soundtracks.
Yoki now shifts to the side of the blow when attacking
Snowdrifts have become larger, which will increase the chance of a soft landing
There are fewer snowdrifts on the map of the first island
Slime now turns into snowblue faster
