Well, it's TECHNICALLY a three part-er, since the big piece in the middle acts as a sort of, bridge between the two parts! semantics, really~
This is big news though, it's kind of an "Essential" Mini Comic to read, otherwise, going forward, ya might be a little confused! Even though i'm kinda brushing past it and undermining it with Leo's "full name" reveal, hehe
Though that's part of the gag!
Yes, from here on out, the existence of other Toons is officially canon! (which also soft-canon-izes the Toon Wars) but the whole point is to not get TOO excited over it! Despite how big this development is in theory, it's a very minor shift in the status-quo, just like Leo's name reveal!
We're not gonna stop calling him Leo or Lee, but he's got a little bit more of his own identity now! it's a little silly, and a little retcon-y, but i always wanted to give him a fuller name, so this seemed just silly enough that i was happy with it! in my eyes, it's no different than finding out Homer J. Simpson was actually Homer Jay Simpson!
with all that said, don't expect to see the fast food ladies or any others Toons all THAT actively in regular comics! they'll pop in occasionally for a special visit or two, but the core of the series remains! Leo will continue to be the fish-out-of-water odd-one-out Toon living amidst regular, ordinary people!
to really drive home the theme of "undermining big news" i've snuck in a little extra, easter-eggy bit of big news that they're also undermining. wonder if y'all can spot it~
