✨ New Project Alert — Raccoon BJD! ✨

I’ve been wanting to make a cute raccoon ball-jointed doll (BJD) that works with the clothing I already have, but with a more animal-inspired body and a fully custom sculpted head. These bodies come pre-made and are super easy to customize, which makes them perfect for kitbashing into something new.

I do have a few human bodies with regular hands and feet, but this particular one is exactly what I envisioned. I could make everything from scratch, but I really love the idea of combining pieces to create something unique—and eventually offering custom heads and tails so others can bring their own characters to life too. 🦝✨

Originally, I ordered the body on Amazon, but the store got taken down—so I ended up reordering through AliExpress. It should arrive later this month. In the meantime, I’ll be working on:
🛠️ 3D Sculpting the raccoon head
🖨️ Resin printing it
👁️ Creating glossy, realistic doll eyes

I want the eyes to have that “alive” look instead of just being flat painted. I’m also planning to sculpt a fox head, since this project is for my husband and me to take on little adventures.

Once things are underway, I’ll film a painting tutorial and share my favorite paints and tips for getting the best results.

🎨 Question for you:
Would you be interested if I offered this as a blank kit to paint yourself? I’ll be painting part of the body (arms and legs), but since most of it will be clothed, you could choose to fully customize it however you like.

Art above is a preview of what I have in mind but it will be done in grey instead of the cream color it comes with.
