Working with Manufacturers - It takes a while

Working with manufacturers takes a very long time, so if this is something you want to pursue give yourself a lot of time. I started this process in November of last year and have been back and forth with 3 different companies the past few months. To work with manu's you need to be able to really convey the idea you have in mind and be extremely patient. Language barrier is also a big hurdle so explain every aspect as simple as possible. Aside from explaining everything I want changed or done I also draw over everything they send and point out what I would like altered.

Some companies are better than others, some companies love to argue and push back. From the 3 I am working with I am more than likely only going to stick with one. Two love to push back on things I know are very doable as the one company that is easier to work with has done and shown. So why am I still messing around with the 3 companies? I paid for sample plush and would like to push them to create the sample plush the way I want it. But the more I work with all 3 I see which ones make more sense for future toys and who I want to spend my money with.

Overall this process has been very long, frustrating to say the least because of feeling like I need to repeat myself with some of these companies. But I knew when I started this process it was not going to be fast if I wanted a plush that matched what I had in mind. Looks over speed, I want quality. Big reason I did not want to go with printed fabric plush, the look just does not do it for me.

Do take in mind I sent 3D renders of the plush and art on top of it. So I made it very clear exactly how I wanted these to look. So now I must wait for revisions and hope for the best. This is one of the 3 companies which is finally starting to get closer to my idea.
