So plastic injection molding with this machine is going to take some time to learn. So the machine itself is pretty cheap the way it was built so did not expect much. It does not handle non PP pellets well. Tried this stuff that feels like rubber and took forever to get to temperature to even extrude a tiny bit. The PP pellets partially worked, when I say partially I mean they did extrude but did not fill the mold fully. It’s very very tough to get a good “shot” into the mold with this machine. The machine definitely wiggles unless you clamp it down. Will try again later next month, see where it goes.
Will do a video showing exactly how this works and pros and cons. Do wear gloves and a respirator and do this outside. A lot of the plastics release really stinky fumes when heating up.
The idea is there, it technically works but not well. I definitely want to invest in a pneumatic machine to get consistent results as these even if I start getting ok pulls I’ll be very restricted.
