Round eyes (with an outer transparent outer shell)
Added 2021-05-18 18:18:46 +0000 UTCI wanted to make rounder eyes but was unsure if the idea I had in mind was going to work. I bought a large hot chocolate ball silicone mold (cheap on amazon and the perfect size) to save me some time. Casted resin in them to create a positive. Brought out my tiny vacuum former (you can buy these at Joanns) and put the positive in the machine (used transparent plastic you can buy at Michael’s or Joanns and yellow plastic from tap plastics). Created a 2 part form to create the eye (it’s a mock eye so the pupil is just drawn on). On the non mock eye in the future the pupil area will be cut out. Eye was mocked out in and added some foam to get an idea on look and overall very happy with it.
